ABOUT DESIGNER/LABEL Inspired by a vintage designer silk scarf, Susan Young launched her line of tops and dresses made entirely from a collection of scarves she discovered in the basement of a shuttered handbag factory. Since then, she has expanded her line using a rich assortment of one of a kind prints designed in her Ct studio and printed from domestic fabric right here in the USA. In keeping with her appreciation of the iconic styles from the 60’s and 70’s, she has taken her passion for vintage and retro styles to a modern level by creating pieces that resonate the past, while reflecting a fresh and contemporary, pretty yetedgy sophistication. Her styles are on trend by not trendy and are coveted by the woman who doesn’t want to dress like everyone else.
Our F/W 14 collection is a break out collection for us. For the first time, we have created the entire collection using our original prints that we design in our own studios. Gorgeous plums, pumkin, berryand steely graphite infuse themselves into the textiles, revealing designs and patterns that are purely pretty, totally hip and and quite edgy- a design paradigm in which we truly pride ourselves on. We also love natural elements as well as little surprises: our customer will find just the right amount of leather accents in this collection as well as some metallic embellishments sublimely augmenting just the right places.
COLLECTION FEATURES Our goods are a true North American product. They are designed in our CT studios, printed in North Carolina onto domestic fabric, and then manufactured in the iconic Garment District of NYC. Every purchase comes with a Launch by Susan Young recyclable shopping bag.
